How syfers.eu handles personal data.
syfers.eu is a publication surface. It collects the minimum needed to operate. There are no marketing cookies and no advertising. Analytics is anonymous (Plausible). This page sets out what we collect, why, and how to reach us.
What we collect
When you visit syfers.eu, your IP address is processed in transit by the hosting provider for the strict purpose of delivering the page. Plausible Analytics records the path, referrer, country, and user-agent in an aggregate, cookie-less form. No persistent identifier is stored in your browser.
Why we collect it
We collect analytics to know which pages are read and which are not, so that the editorial Lab can prioritise the next pass. We do not profile readers, do not run advertising, do not sell or share data, and do not embed third-party trackers.
Cookies
syfers.eu does not set any cookies of its own. Plausible Analytics is cookie-less by design.
Analytics
Plausible is EU-hosted (Germany) and operated under GDPR. The data is aggregated and anonymous. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the publication surface is read.
Sub-processors
syfers.eu uses Vercel for hosting and Plausible Analytics for cookie-less statistics. Plausible is EU-hosted (Germany); Vercel routes edge traffic globally with EU residency where contractually selected. The full federation sub-processor list, including the partners that touch the other federation surfaces, is published at https://syntrociety.org/sub-processors.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data. Because our analytics are anonymous we hold no identifier with which to find your data; for any other channel (email, contact form), write to contact@syntrociety.org.
